Consolidated Printing, Inc. Chooses the Insignia7 Die Cutting System to Expand Their Finishing Capabilities.

Press release from the issuing company

Consolidated Printing, Inc., located in Van Buren, AR, is one of North America’s leading ticket, event pass, and ID card manufacturers, whose clients include some of the world’s most renowned names in sports and entertainment.

CPI has a long-time relationship with Rollem products, having invested in multiple Rollem TR Perforating and Scoring systems. During a Dscoop Edge Conference, the team was intrigued and impressed by the live Insignia demonstration Rollem’s Product Manager, Kevin Corwin, provided them.

Following a successful video-demo of CPI’s material(s) being die-cut on the Insignia in Rollem’s California office, Curtis Howells, Vice President at CPI, recognized that Insignia7’s larger format capacity of 30x24” would allow them to significantly increase productivity by maximizing space on their press sheets. Also significant to their decision was the ability to include embossing and perforating functions, along with many other Insignia functions, on their various products.

“We love our Insignia and could not be happier with its ease and functionality” states, Curtis Howells of Consolidated Printing. The quick change-over of the Insignia maximizes efficiency when running customizable die-cut event tickets, souvenir tickets, credentials, and parking passes with its quick simple operation.

Following the successful adoption of the Insignia die-cutter, CPI turned to Rollem once again for a solution to fold and glue their cosmetic and retail boxes. Rollem was able to install the 650M-3.5 converting unit to streamline the folding, gluing and finishing of their folding cartons, bringing valuable converting in-house. Curtis concludes, “Rollem has provided the best installation training and support we have ever had. We are very pleased with the operation, production and support we have received from Rollem’s team”.

Insignia’s functions include die-cutting, kiss-cutting, perforating, creasing, and embossing. The Insignia 7 model includes a top magnetic cylinder and a lower solid, hardened anvil cylinder, which allows for fast make-readies, only requiring minutes to change the cutting tool between jobs. IS7 is ideal for a wide range of substrates, handling sheets sizes up to 30x24”.

Rollem’s Insignia Series of Die-Cutters have been adopted by a variety of print providers across the U.S. and Internationally. With four model sizes available that complement most press sizes, each system includes the waste stripping section and a delivery table.
