Inland Press, a Division of The Detroit Legal News Company Announces the Acquisition of Graphics East, Inc.

Detroit, MI – The Detroit Legal News Company announced the acquisition of Graphics East, Inc. and its Mail Clinic subsidiary, a forty year old graphic arts company located in Roseville, Michigan. Graphics East is a full service printing company offering extensive offset, digital and mailing services. The Graphic East operations will be consolidated into the Company’s Inland Press facility in downtown Detroit.

Brad Thompson, CEO of DTRL made this statement regarding the acquisition, “Graphics East provides a strategic set of skills and a book of business that will expand the capabilities of Inland Press while providing greater utilization of the recent state-of-the-art equipment upgrades Inland made in 2023. It is another step in our planned growth to be one of the Midwest’s premier graphic arts suppliers.” He added, “This furthers our dedication to our shareholders, customers, employees and the City of Detroit.” No debt was incurred, the transaction will be paid for out of retained earnings. Inland Press upgraded its pressroom with a RMGT 970 8 color UV LED perfector with the PQS-D quality system and upgraded to a late model Heidelberg SM102-2P. A full 56” Saber cutting system was added to the bindery in mid-2023 also.
