Press release from the issuing company

(September 15, 2008) Expanded training offering for the HIBIS 104 high-speed rotary screen and flexo printing machine and the LOTUS SF laminating machine / Focus on both operation and maintenance / Competitive position of Steinemann customers to be further strengthened

The Graphic Division of Steinemann Technology, St. Gallen/Switzerland, has relaunched its training programme regarding the maintenance and operation of the HIBIS 104 high-speed rotary screen and flexo printing machine and the LOTUS SF laminating machine for solvent-free polyurethane adhesive. The expanded training courses are held at Steinemann Technology's Graphic Center in St. Gallen. Each course lasts four days and is limited to a maximum of six participants, thus guaranteeing highly effective work.

While the four-day training course for the LOTUS SF covers every important aspect of both the maintenance and the operation of the high-performance laminating machine, the training programme for the HIBIS 104 is split up. The 'HIBIS 104 – Maintenance' course deals exhaustively with the mechanical and electronic equipment of the machine, whereas the 'HIBIS 104 – Operation' course provides an in-depth insight into the various aspects of operation, the main focus being not only on valuable tips and tricks for everyday work, but also on the production and re-use of the innovative rotary screens.

"The objective of our new training programme is to consistently strengthen the competitive position of our customers in the framework of a comprehensive know-how transfer. For one thing, we want our customers to be able to pull out all the stops and exploit the existing options to the full when using our versatile high-performance machines. At the same time, we aim to constantly improve our technical support in the field by giving our representatives intensive training. That puts the company in a position to guarantee a very high quality standard of its exclusive agents worldwide, both as regards sales and in the service sector," says Jürg Spittler, Vice President of Steinemann Technology AG and Director of the Graphic Division, explaining the main reasons for expanding the Division's training programme.

The programme will be extended in the foreseeable future to include courses on maintenance and operation of the innovative SYRIUS high-speed laminating machine. Steinemann Technology presented the second generation of this high-performance machine at this year's drupa, and shipping has now begun.

Further information on the content and dates of the training courses can be found on the Steinemann Technology website at www.steinemann.com <http://www.steinemann.com>  - go to the Graphic Division and then select 'Training'.
