Pacificolor Installs Vanguard’s Flagship Digital Printing System at Alphagraphics, Layton, UT.

Press release from the issuing company

Alphagraphics produces high quality wide format print output at reduced costs and unprecedented speed, for their customers.

Pacificolor has announced the installation of a VR6D-HS UV Digital flatbed printer at Alphagraphics. Owner Jerron Hale installed the VR6D-HS, Vanguard Digital Printing Systems flagship product, at their Layton, UT location. Within the first week they were able to produce billable projects more efficiently and effectively than they had before for one of their largest clients. The VR6D-HS model provides them with the opportunity to meet their clients’ needs like never before.

Alphagraphics is a full-service commercial print and sign company specializing in wide format print and produces a multitude of different signage, including both indoor and outdoor signage, trade show displays, POP signage, vehicle wraps, banners and more.

Jerron Hale, owner of Alphagraphics, explains: “We researched four different wide format flatbed printers to replace an existing one. Ultimately, we felt most confident with Vanguard’s product, service and the support that Pacificolor introduced and offered as the reseller.

“Pacificolor guided us and helped us through the learning process and supported us every step of the way. We are very pleased with the high-quality prints from the VR6D-HS printer. It allows us to offer better signage at reduced costs, with faster turnaround times. We feel this is the best-in-class solution to our quality, price, and speed demands.”

The VR6D-HS printer utilizes a CMYK plus white ink system (clear ink optional) with the latest Ricoh Gen 6 print heads and features eco-friendly LED ink curing technology, Industry 4.0 compliance, ionization bars for eliminating electrostatic charges, four vacuum zones, 5-10-15 picoliter drop size, a high-speed magnetic drive, at unparalleled speed, resolution, and quality with a print area of up 50” x 99”.

VR6D-HS printer can be configured with up to 10 print heads (two rows of 5). This offers adopters of the base model future scalability. The VR6D-HS can easily be upgraded on-site (up to 10 print heads) for increased speed and productivity.

“We have found this model of scalability to be well received within the marketplace. Print service providers would much rather upgrade their existing equipment than deal with the hassle of selling a used machine and purchasing another to gain more productivity,” said Jim Peterson Founder and COO at Vanguard Digital.

The VR6D-HS flatbed is designed to accommodate a full range of rigid, semi-rigid and flexible media up to 50” x 99” and 4” thick.

All VR5D machines come standard with CureGUARDTM, an LED curing system with adjustable curing that allows users to print on the most heat-sensitive substrates. Another standard feature of the VR5D is StaticGUARDTM which reduces static electricity on media such as PVC, acrylics, corrugated plastic, and any other static prone media.

Lastly, Vanguard Digital is honored for the VR6D-HS to receive both the 2022 UV Flatbed & UV Flatbed with White Pinnacle Product Awards $100K-$200K Class. The Pinnacle Product Award competition evaluates products that are available for sale. A highly qualified panel of judges across the printing industry evaluated the annual contest’s 160+ entries in more than 58 categories spanning the scope of large format digital inkjet technology.

“We are excited to have Jerron and the Alphagraphics team join Pacificolor’s increasingly growing list of successful Vanguard printer installations. We take great pride in delivering best-in-class solutions to our client’s needs. Vanguard is designed to be adaptable, affordable, and upgradeable, so as our clients’ needs grow, the Vanguard Digital Printer series can grow with them.” said Tim Hirsch, Owner, Pacificolor LLC.
