Orlando - September 11, 2008 - The Printing Association of Florida (PAF) is pleased to announce the addition of two well-experienced professionals to its team. Kathryn Stuart recently joined the organization as its new Education, Events and Programs Manager, while Monica Turner joined as Director of Communications. Both Stuart and Turner report to George Ryan, President and CEO of the Printing Association of Florida.

In addition to their responsibilities at PAF, Stuart and Turner also provide support for Graphics of the Americas (GOA) conference and tradeshow, which is hosted and managed by PAF. GOA is the largest, annual combined exposition and education event in the United States. In 2009, GOA will be held in Miami Beach, Fla. from Feb. 26-28. (www.graphicsoftheamericas.com)

Kathryn Stuart

As Education, Events and Programs Manager, Stuart coordinates all member meetings, regional seminars and special educational programs for PAF members.  Additionally, Stuart is responsible for coordinating the annual Florida Print Awards program including the awards banquet showcasing the winners.  For GOA, Stuart is responsible for managing its numerous educational conference programs as well as the annual GALA awards banquet.  

Stuart comes to PAF with seven years of event management and coordination experience. Prior to PAF, she was Special Events Coordinator at The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Orlando, Fla. Before that, she held an Events Management position at Florida Citrus Sports where she managed all aspects of event planning for four years.

Monica Turner

In her position as Director of Communications for PAF, Turner manages and implements all external communications for the Association; including writing, editing, designing and publishing Graphics Update, PAF's bimonthly magazine. She also handles advertising for the magazine. Turner's other activities include the design of marketing campaigns, collateral, electronic communications and web content for both the Association and GOA.

Turner is a veteran with over 20 years experience in various positions with several publishing organizations. Prior to PAF, Turner was Associate Publisher and General Manager for The East Orlando Sun, a weekly community newspaper. She held positions at other newspaper organizations and two printing organizations. Turner began her career in a phototypesetter and design position for the U.S. Army Audiovisual Center at the Pentagon.
