The Printer’s Shopper Celebrates 50 Years

Press release from the issuing company

Still going strong and serving its dedicated cadre of customers

Kirkland, Washington—The Printers Shopper is celebrating 50+ years providing the industry with supplies, equipment, and consumables. The company began operations in mid-1970 in Chula Vista, California. Early on it produced an extensive printed catalog that it mailed out to practically every small to mid-sized printer in the country.

“We had the ‘Sears Catalog’ of the print industry” noted Kurt Coralline, PRODECO LLC, who purchased the Shopper and moved it to the Seattle area in late 2003. PRODECO manufactures anti-tracking systems for presses and The Printers Shopper was one of their significant dealers.

The catalog was gradually moved to the web while abbreviated versions are included with orders. While somewhat benign these days, the concept of FREE SHIPPING was also instituted during the 70’s when it was a real advantage for customers ordering from anywhere in the country. This concept is still in place for all the items on their web site.

Having weathered the many changes in our industry over the years the company and their iconic mascot ‘Inky,’ is still proudly serving its many dedicated customers, and new customers, with standard and hard-to-find items at competitive prices. And it is still a company where you can pick up your phone and quickly talk with someone about issues, or items you need. They invite you to check them out at www.ThePrintersShopper.com
