WhatTheyThink, the leading independent media organization serving the global printing and publishing industries, today announced the launch of a new content section called “Print Geeks.” This special content area will take a deep dive into the inner workings of the processes and technologies used to create print in today’s fast-changing industry. Thought leadership and educational content will focus on print production workflow, color management, process control, and other technical issues. Print Geeks is a place where ideas on technical and operational process concepts are presented, exchanged, and debated.
“WhatTheyThink has always weaved in technical topics within our overall coverage, but until now we have not had a dedicated area that focuses on key areas print geeks care about,” said WhatTheyThink COO Adam Dewitz. “This special area of the site will be a place where us print geeks can hang out and learn from one another about the key issues related to print production optimization, color management, process control, and operational best practices.”
We have teamed up with leading industry technical consultants to be our “Resident Print Geeks.” Our inaugural team consists of Jim Raffel and Shelby Sapusek with ColorCasters. This team, along with the WhatTheyThink editorial team and other key thought leaders, will provide the ongoing direction of the section.
“We’re really excited to launch this special section of WhatTheyThink and create a home for those interested in these topics to share, exchange, and debate ideas. Thanks to Alder Color Solutions for stepping up and being our charter sponsor for these efforts,” said WhatTheyThink President Eric Vessels.
Our goal is to provide an environment where ideas can be shared, exchanged, and debated so that together we can continue pushing forward as one united printing community!
