Camvac Bring Metallized Cellulose Acetate Film, Cambrite Camvert, to Market

Press release from the issuing company

Camvac, a leading supplier of metallised films, clear barrier films and laminates, has launched Cambrite Camvert, a new fully biodegradable and home compostable decorative metallised film, which is now commercially available.

Cambrite Camvert is a fully biodegradable and home compostable decorative metallised film, designed to be used within the board lamination and paper lamination markets as an eco-friendly alternative to metallised polyester.

Cambrite Camvert is a premium solution for brands who are looking for a fully biodegradable and certified home compostable decorative metallised film. Cambrite was originally developed to give maximum brilliance and visual impact for the board lamination market. Changes in consumer habits and the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions have led Camvac to develop a range of biodegradable and compostable barrier films under their Camvert Range.

Cambrite Camvert is certified biodegradable and compostable. The base film is made up of over 80% of cellulose diacetate -derived from natural cellulose sources, cotton linters and wood pulp. The film has a mirror like brilliance and is created using patented technology. It has also been designed to be receptive to print and graphics.

The film is used within a range of laminate applications including luxury brand decorative cartons, board lamination, point of sale display items, publications, and packaging labels.
