Press release from the issuing company

World Textile Information Network (WTiN) is organising a virtual trade show as a response to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the textile & apparel industry, providing an opportunity in 2020 for companies to showcase innovation in manufacturing technology and materials.

Innovate Textile & Apparel Virtual Trade Show of technology and materials will take place in October 2020, featuring manufacturers of textile technology as diverse as man-made fibre production through to garment assembly, alongside material producers for sportswear, personal protective equipment (PPE) through to smart fabrics.

Visitors to the virtual trade show can explore new technological and material innovations, network with key players across the industry and agree new partnerships. Exhibitor’s virtual booths will contain everything from videos of machines operating to fabric technical specifications, and booth visitors can make appointments or use a chat option to communicate with exhibitors.

Each day of the Innovate Textile & Apparel virtual trade show, WTiN will host online presentations from industry leaders who bring an informed perspective to market developments. In addition, exhibitors will also host seminars and roundtable discussions.

Mark Jarvis, managing director, WTiN, says: “With the recent postponement of ITMA Asia & CITME, Drupa and India ITME exhibitions to 2021, WTiN has moved rapidly to develop the Innovate Textile & Apparel virtual trade show proposition. We are now in discussions regarding support from key industry organisations and expect to make further announcements shortly.

“Our virtual trade show will be a global event and content will be available in multiple languages including Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Turkish. Video presentations for conferences, seminars & roundtables will also have subtitles in these languages.”
