Looking for ways to solve your customer’s problems is a great way to set yourself apart. Coming up with a product before your customer even knows they need it is even better. Kodak’s Red Fluorescing Solution is just that kind of product.

Kodak has created a number of products that can be used on their fifth printing unit on the NexPress Digital Press. Such things as Dimensional Printing, Coatings, MICR printing, Light Black HD Dry Ink, Better Custom Color Match are all possible. About a year ago Kodak developed the Red Fluorescing Dry Ink (RFDI), which has won a 2012 InterTech Award. The innovative ink is clear and virtually invisible when printed on top of images and graphics. When it is illuminated with an ultraviolet light source, it fluoresces a red color. The intensity of the red can be controlled by the amount NexPress Red Fluorescing Dry Ink that is printed on the page. It is easily detected without requiring special dark conditions for viewing.

Plus it gives you a way to help insure the originality of any document that you produce on the NexPress. “The RDFI ink is a simple way to detect counterfeits, in addition to being a nice and inexpensive solution for customers”, stated one of the InterTech judges.
