Canon’s Dennis Amorosano Talks about Cloud, Mobility and More

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Dennis Amorosano, long-time industry veteran and Sr. Director, Solutions Marketing & Business Support at Canon USA, to gain his perspective on market trends and how Canon is addressing them. While a great deal of focus in this interview is placed on the office environment for the cloud and mobile, Amorosano also discusses commercial print implications. The interview follows.

WTT: Dennis, two hot topics today are cloud computing and mobility. Can you share your thoughts on these topics?

DA: We have been focusing on those two tightly-connected areas for several different reasons. First, there is a significant number of customers looking at leveraging a cloud-based infrastructure to reduce the cost of deployment and management of information technology. Many very capable applications in the office imaging space are making their way into the cloud or are already there. You can certainly see a future for delivery of various device-oriented capabilities either in the cloud, on-premise, or a hybrid of the two.
