According to the Commercial Appeal, FedEx Kinko's is done trying on hats and seeing little change on the balance sheet. The company told 175 account executives that their positions were being reassigned as the company focuses its energy chiefly on small businesses. Kinko's also intends to ease out of the corporate printing business by moving those accounts, including on-site university printing contracts, to the nearest Kinko's store.

Kinko's will open 200 stores in neighborhoods dominated by small businesses by summer 2007. With an average footprint of 1,800 square feet, the smaller layout allows FedEx Kinko's to open in more locations than the traditional 6,000 square-foot centers.
