Just about four years ago – April 2003 – WhatTheyThink provided a detailed look at the historical performance of 50 companies tracked on the WTT Stock Watch. There were 50 companies on the list then; this time around there are 40. Mergers, acquisitions, and attrition have reduced the list considerably, and there are a couple of new faces. VistaPrint and InnerWorkingsare two new public companies added to the analysis.

For this report, we have five years’ data (2001 to 2005) for all companies listed except InnerWorkings and VistaPrint. VistaPrint made its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in fall of 2005 and InnerWorkings in the late summer 2006. For an even longer view, add these totals to the previous version of this report.

The Graphic Arts Industry doesn’t stand still! Even in the last few months RR Donnelley acquired Banta and Cenveo purchased Cadmus; these changes are not reflected in the financials from 2005.
