Konica Minolta Holdings and Océ, the leading supplier of high-performance, issued the following press release and office printing equipment based in Venlo, The Netherlands. The press release is shown in full and at the end of it I will make my assessment of what this all could mean for the future. The section covering Background and aim of the partnership outlines the current position of the two suppliers. This agreement is an extension of the agreement already in place between the two companies under which Océ takes equipment from Konica Minolta and sells it under the Océ brand in most of its markets.

Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc (President and CEO: Yoshikatsu Ota) entered into a basic partnership agreement with Oce, a company headquartered in Venlo, The Netherlands (President and CEO: Rokus van Iperen) on January 14, 2008 to cooperate in development and marketing for office and production printing systems.
