The Organizers Of Print Fest Want To Know: What Are You Doing To Remain Competitive And Profitable?

Chris Jacobson, an industry veteran whose family created and operated the Gutenberg Festival for 27 years before selling it to the Graphic Arts Show Co. in 1999, has announced the launch of a new trade show for the printing industry. Print Fest will debut May 12-13, 2006 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA., literally on the heels of Gutenberg 2006, scheduled to take place April 28-30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Friday-through-Saturday event will focus on teaching providers of traditional sheetfed offset printing products and services how to stay in business and remain profitable while they transition to and adopt digital printing technologies and workflows.

WhatTheyThink asked Mr. Jacobson to expand on the thinking behind his decision to mount another trade show for the printing industry.
