While user conference meetings can range from “love fests” to grudge matches, it is the manufacturer who really sets the tone. An unresponsive software publisher will be “rewarded” by unhappy customers who use a conference to further their own agendas. A manufacturer who listens to its customer base, asks for – and considers – the needs of those customers, and who shares plans and strategies for the future, will find its user conference a very positive and useful experience.

Connect 2004 was just that kind of experience for attendees and EFI staff alike. Let’s not imply that everything is rosy, after all there are thousands of users of EFI products and services, and occasionally the needs of some users conflict with the needs of others. And during some of the breakout sessions, users were not shy about expressing their wants and needs in very direct terms.
