Connecting at Connect: Analysis of EFI's User Conference

More than 1000 people gathered in the MGM Grand Conference Center June 27 through 30, in balmy Las Vegas (100+ degrees) for the fifth Connect Conference, and the first sponsored by EFI.

The first Connect brought together users of products from the companies that were merged to become Printcafe, including Hagen, PSI, PrintSmith and Logic. And have things changed! The 2000 conference was the first time these users were part of the same community and Printcafe executives concentrated on delivering the Printcafe vision and strategy.

This year’s conference, with its ratio of nearly one EFI employee for every eight users, was packed from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM with keynotes, announcements, and more than 150 educational sessions, partner presentations, and user group meetings. By the end of the closing session, EFI’s strategies were clearly laid out: open systems, connectivity across products, and solutions to make EFI’s customers successful.
