In this interview, we speak with Cam Myers, Founder and CEO of CreateMe, located in a 35.000 square foot R&D facility in Newark, California, about that company he founded, the unique technology they have developed, and the prospects it brings for driving change to the textiles and apparel marketplace.

WhatTheyThink:  Cam, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with a brief overview of the company and the drivers for starting this venture.

Cam Myers: Sure. CreateMe Technologies is an AI robotics company focused on material assembly in apparel in an automated fashion. The problem we are solving is enabling the ability to build quick-response, on-demand manufacturing close to the consumer, wherever that consumer might be. We are starting in the U.S., and our solution combines robotics, physical AI, and probably the most unique thing we do, using adhesive in the assembly process. It’s not a seam tape, which has been in use for some time. But rather, it is a printed form of adhesive that mimics the pattern of a stitch file. It’s enabled us to develop much higher levels of automation.
