Signarama Franchise Launches Sign Donation Effort to Help Texas Flood Victims

Last month’s floods in Texas personally affected the owners of Signarama San Antonio, who launched a sign donation project to raise funds for relief efforts. Before long, other Signarama centers stepped up to help out.

On July 4, 2025, in Texas Hill Country in central Texas, moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry in the Atlantic combined with tropical moisture from the eastern Pacific. As a result, water levels along the Guadalupe River rose rapidly, causing what have been called the 10th deadliest flash floods in US history. As of July 25, the death toll had risen to 138, including at least 27 girls who were summering at Camp Mystic. Kerr County was ground zero for the flooding, and the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund was set up by the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country to help impacted communities.

Matt Mattingly, co-owner of two San Antonio Signarama locations (San Antonio NW and Downtown) is from Kerrville, and in fact one of his best friends lost their daughter in the floods. As a result, Matt and Kelly, his wife and Signarama San Antonio co-owner, launched a sign donation project to help raise money for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

The project was inspired by an earlier sign donation effort. “Our baseball little league team had made it to the World Series, so we thought it would be fun to support them,” said Kelly Mattingly. “We donated a few signs to Boerne Little League and told them to get people to donate have them show their support in our small town.”
