Finding and Developing Talent for the Printing Industry

After a few years, now that COVID-19 and supply chain restrictions no longer top the list of printing industry issues, we are back to one of the most persistent challenges in the printing industry: a lack of skilled labor. The only difference now is that the shortage it is getting more severe and is affecting the pool of non-skilled labor as well.

A recent survey of the German Printing Industry Federation (BVDM) among printing companies shows labour issues topping the list of challenges: namely a lack of skilled labour and the ensuing rising labour costs.
