As we have been discussing in this space, attracting new talent to the textiles and apparel industry is a key challenge. The industry is quite different than it was 40 years ago! CMYUK announces its Creatives In Residence Live (CIRL) participants. Design and media graduates begin their six-month mentoring and learning journey at CMYUK, and CMYUK has announced the four graduates who have been chosen to participate in the Creatives In Residence Live initiative.

The talented quartet of Evie Venables, Sarah Willcocks, Keely Russell, and Taylor Doggett will embark upon a six-month learning journey at CMYUK’s demonstration and training center in Shrewsbury, UK. This exciting initiative will give three young surface designers and one talented videographer an outstanding opportunity to undertake a six-month placement at CMYUK’s advanced digital training and demonstration facility.

However, the project is also available as an e-learning experience online. Graduates and students alike can participate in all modules. Each month, the Design Project brief will be posted online, and to participate simply follow and share your work using the hashtag #CIRLIVE and then submit your final work via email to [email protected].
