Projects: Getting Stuff Done in Your Print Business

Every business has projects. Every business treats them differently. The range is enormous; from no project methodology to bureaucratic craziness. Print businesses of all sizes would benefit from a simple project methodology because it can quickly eliminate the most common reasons why things just don’t get done.

Do you have a sense that things just don’t get done in your business, either not in a timely manner or not to your satisfaction? If this is your experience, one of the best places to look is how you approach, define, and manage, projects in your company. Some companies don’t even use this terminology “project” but I want to really simplify what I mean by a project.

When you think about it in these terms, almost everything you do in your print business is a project. So when you want to get something done and it takes more than one step and more than one person how does your business approach it?
