WhatTheyThink and Messe Düsseldorf Partner for Enhanced drupa 2012 coverage

Press release from the issuing company

Special video interviews highlight coverage pre-, post- and during show

Lexington, Kentucky USA – WhatTheyThink, the printing and publishing industry's leading media organization, today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Messe Düsseldorf to provide extended media coverage of drupa 2012, the world's largest printing trade show scheduled for May 3-16, 2012, in Düsseldorf, Germany.  A highlight of this coverage will be a series of approximately 30 video interviews with industry experts, drupa 2012 exhibitors, and U.S. visitors. Coverage will begin in September 2011.

"We are excited to again be a drupa media partner," said Randy Davidson, WhatTheyThink's CEO. "This will be our third drupa, and as part of our arrangement, we will again have a video studio set up during the show in order to capture high quality executive and expert interviews. We will also, of course, provide coverage from the show floor and publish articles from our contributors to ensure our readers have access to the latest drupa news."

WhatTheyThink will be scheduling video interviews at Graph Expo 2011 in September. Exhibitors and visitors to Graph Expo who are planning to attend drupa who would like to be interviewed can schedule a video session by contacting Cary Sherburne, Director of Services, via email ([email protected]).

"Graph Expo provides a great opportunity to speak with folks about what they expect to see and accomplish at drupa," said Sherburne. "Although it is almost a year before the show, it is on the radar of just about everyone in the industry, and we expect to capture many strong and interesting opinions about why drupa is important and what new announcements are expected.  Will this be the REAL inkjet drupa or will there be something new that overshadows the inkjet story? We'll be hot on the trail to find out."

WhatTheyThink is well-known for its multichannel approach to covering the printing and publishing industries, including written reports and interviews, videos, and postings to social media including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. The company recently announced publication of its 1,000th online video interview.  Beginning in 2007, WhatTheyThink was the first and only online publisher covering the printing and publishing industries to go daily with online video content.

A recent audit by BPA Worldwide, powered by Nielson Online, confirmed WhatTheyThink's leading position in the printing and publishing industries. "As we continue our double-digit growth in page impressions, session duration and more," added Davidson, "our extended drupa coverage will enhance our industry leadership position and help U.S. exhibitors and visitors better prepare for a productive visit to Düsseldorf in May 2012."
