September 2023 printing shipments came in at $7.42 billion, down a scosh from August’s $7.47 billion. Compared to the four previous years, this is not a good look, and not what we were expecting, but—here’s hoping—we should get a boost in October which, with March, has become the best month of the year.

January-to-September  shipments are at $65.69 billion, shy of last year’s $67.73 billion. At this stage, the probability that we will exceed 2022 shipments is slipping away, unless we have a massively strong October.
