Canon Solutions America Hosts Media/Analysts for One-Year Anniversary Celebration

Canon Solutions America recently hosted 28 members of the media and analyst community in Southern Florida to share results of the integration of parts of Canon USA with Océ post-acquisition into a new organization: Canon Solutions America. It has been one year since the acquisition was finalized and the new organization was formed. Business results, new product introductions signify successful integration

Canon Solutions America (CSA) asked 28 members of the media and analyst community to join them in Southern Florida for a well-organized and informative celebration of the first anniversary of CSA, the result of Canon USA’s acquisition of Océ. Canon Solutions America CEO & President Toyo Kuwamura kicked off the event with a high-level overview of the state of the business, and the company’s goals for 2014 and beyond.  While significant progress has been made with the Canon/Océ integration, Toyo emphasized the need for further connection among the business units, including stronger connections with Canon USA. The goal is to leverage assets across the company while at the same time strengthening relationships with customers, partners and the press/analyst community. Key to success is the company’s “Customer First” policy and San Ji spirit of self-motivation, self-management and self-awareness.

In 2013, Canon Solutions America was a $1.7 billion business with 6,600 employees; its goal for 2016 is to reach $2 billion, and to continue to achieve efficiencies such as consolidation of resources.  These activities are already delivering significant value to the company’s bottom line; for example, consolidating 43 offices has resulted in a savings of $6.2 million per year.
