Skip Henk took over the reins as president and CEO of XPLOR about two years ago.  WhatTheyThink talked to him thento get his vision on where he wanted to take the organization.  Now, two years later, we checked back in to see how things have gone and to get a peek at what we can expect going forward.

WTT: When we spoke two years ago as you were assuming the leadership of XPLOR, you indicated that the association was refocusing itself on “on the educational portion of what we do because we feel we have one of the best educational forums in the industry.” Is that what actually transpired?

SH: Absolutely. We have done that from several different aspects.  Over the last couple of years, we have gone back to our roots in terms of education.  In February of 2006, we had seven conferences under one roof. We were part of Graphics of the Americas, focused on educational content.  We announced the XPLOR Document University, which is a year-round program; and in our upcoming Miami conference, from February 28th to March 4th of 2007 in Miami, we have restructured courses to be one to three days versus five days.
