RIS Paper Joins IPMA Marketplace

Press release from the issuing company

Liberty, Missouri -- April 17, 2002 -- RIS Paper joins a growing number of suppliers offering special programs and deep discounts through the International Publishing Management Association’s (IPMA) Marketplace, according to IPMA President Craig Sedgwick, CGCM. By tapping into IPMA’s group purchasing power, members can now procure on-line or through their local sales representative a variety of paper stocks at a significant savings including Appleton-Coated, Wausau Uncoated, Mead Carbonless, as well as copy paper and envelopes. “The discounts are significant enough to provide a substantial savings for just about everyone,” says John Zeglinski, the director of IPMA’s Marketplace. “Even those members who currently may be receiving better pricing, based on their high volume, will be given customized pricing when the opportunity presents it.” Initially, this program is being introduced in the Mid-Atlantic region (Baltimore, Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Washington, DC), with the expectation that other regions will be added in the near future. “The in-plant market is important to us as it is a large and growing consumer segment of the market that is often more stable than many,” explains RIS Paper's Philadelphia Division Vice President and General Manager, Don Curtin. “We view IPMA’s Marketplace as an opportunity to bring value through our product offerings by bundling them with other products/services offered to members. These programs and products are geared for the in-plant industry and are designed to facilitate and ease the purchasing process, thereby stabilizing and in some cases reducing procurement costs for participating organizations.” In addition, RIS Paper is teaming with IPMA to heighten awareness about the multitude of benefits that can be enjoyed through membership. To display its support, RIS Paper will provide any nonmember that places an order of $500 or more, a free one-year trial membership to IPMA. “At RIS, we realize the value of strong trade associations. In-plants have different wants and needs, when compared to commercial printers,” Curtin notes. “A good association can be a tremendous resource for industry-specific products and technical information, better enabling members to serve the goals of their parent organization.” “We are very pleased to welcome RIS Paper to our Marketplace. Not only are they offering potential savings on paper purchases, but they are helping this association grow its representation within the industry,” says President Sedgwick. “Managers are encouraged to shop, compare and provide us with feedback so that we can continue offering programs that speak directly to the special needs of in-plants.” To learn more about this special money-saving program, call IPMA’s Marketplace at 888.226.8600 or RIS Paper directly.
