Global Graphics Shows Jaws PDF Courier, Hosts Launch of SkinnyServer
Press release from the issuing company
Jaws PDF technologies form core of intuitive new document and print management and distribution solutions
Birmingham, April 17, 2002 - Today at IPEX 2002, Global Graphics demonstrates its Jaws PDF Courier, its highly-configurable tool for the customized delivery of print-ready electronic documents launched last month, and hosts the launch of Ultimate Technographic’s revolutionary new SkinnyServer prepress workflow solution featuring Jaws PDF technologies.
Jaws PDF technologies featuring PDF creation and workflow tools and PDF-based solutions are developed by Global Graphics for resellers, systems integrators and OEM partners. The Jaws PDF product line delivers document creation, management and output tools for a range of graphics industry and corporate market applications.
In addition to the latest version of Global Graphics’ intuitive Jaws PDF Creator v2.1 PDF creation software, IPEX (Hall 4 Stand 729/740) sees the international debut of Jaws PDF Courier an encrypted client/server document delivery system which enables print service centers to create customized specifications for PDF file creation and output and distribute it as a complete ‘own brand’ PDF workflow package to their clients. Clients are able to easily create, preview and submit any document, created in any application, direct from the desktop to designated print centers in an automated PDF workflow. Jaws PDF Courier delivers these files to print providers in a format optimized for production for increased productivity and shorter deadlines.
Also on show is Jaws PDF Server, a centralized, server-based software solution for standardized PDF file creation, optimization and distribution on a corporate scale. This software allows IT system administrators to easily specify and automatically manage the conversion of users’ multi-format documents and images into PDF files, and to control their distribution via local/remote printing, faxing, Internet/intranet publishing, entry into document management systems or archiving.
All these Jaws PDF technologies will be demonstrated at IPEX in a simulated distributed client server environment showing the ease and speed of PDF creation (with Jaws PDF Creator); centralized PDF creation and management for corporate multi-users (with Jaws PDF Server); and the automatic preparation and submission of secure, print-ready documents over the Internet from customer to printer (with Jaws PDF Courier).
Global Graphics makes all its Jaws PDF technologies available to OEMs and systems integrators to add flexible and efficient PDF capabilities to their own applications. One such application makes its international debut on the Global Graphics stand today at IPEX. OEM partner Ultimate Technographics Inc launches a revolutionary new product using Jaws PDF SDK technology, which brings high-speed performance to page layout and prepress workflow. The SkinnyServer is a complete pre-press workflow solution with extra high productivity results, including trapping, imposition and RIPing, in a unique client-server environment. It reduces PostScript file sizes by up to 100x, EPS files by 30x and accelerates the creation of PDF files up to 8x faster and 3x smaller than any other system.
Global Graphics is a leading developer and manufacturer of electronic document management solutions designed to maximize print and document creation, management, production and cross-media publishing within the high-end prepress sector and the mid-market corporate sector. Its broad range of production technologies are licensed and commercialized by OEMs, system integrators and value added resellers.
