Washington, D.C. – The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the October 2019 Boxboard Monthly report on November 18.

Total Boxboard production in October increased three percent compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.5%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018. The boxboard operating rate was 91.7 percent, down 1.7 points from October 2018 and down 1.4 points year-to-date.

Solid Bleached Boxboard production in October increased seven percent compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.4%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.

Recycled Boxboard production in October decreased one percent compared to October 2018. It was down one percent when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.

Unbleached Kraft & Gypsum production in October increased three percent compared to October 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.1%) when compared to the same 10 months of 2018.
