Panthera Debuts Revolutionary 8-Color Digital Dye Sublimation Printer at PRINTING United

Press release from the issuing company

Sussex, Wis. – The Mosaica Group, a national distributor supporting dye sublimation and wide format print processes with equipment, consumables and services, is exhibiting at PRINTING United in Dallas, TX. Show dates are October 23 - 25. The Mosaica Group will partner with Kaspar Papir at booth #6404 to showcase their portfolio of papers, including their latest addition – sunpaper, a UV-protected transfer paper. Demonstrations will be provided on the revolutionary Panthera S4-3.2m digital dye sublimation printer that now offers 8-color ink configuration.

The Panthera S4 is available in both 1.8m and 3.2m widths in 2-ink configurations — 2 x CMYK and its new SWISSJet® D&T-K 8-color ink set photo quality configuration. For those who require speed and production over photographic quality, the Panthera S4 achieves speeds of up to 4,000 sq. ft. per hour. With 8-color ink configuration, the Panthera S4-3.2m-8 provides the highest printing quality of any dye sublimation solution available today at speeds of more than 2,000 sq. ft. per hour with two passes.

Panthera printing systems feature a specially- developed print head controller that offers better precision and printing quality, along with an anti-crash system on the carriage to protect the print heads from incorrectly hitting the transfer paper. It offers a flawless roll-to-roll feeding system that helps to eliminate paper waste and is able to hold extended roll lengths of paper.

The latest enhancement to the Panthera S4 is the ability to print directly to certain coated fabrics in both 2 x CMYK and 8-color configurations without changing the ink or adjusting the workflow settings, in addition to printing seamlessly to transfer paper. Increase your productivity while maintaining quality using the Intelligent Camera System (ICS). This high-definition technology enables remote printing and monitoring with any mobile device. The Panthera digital sublimation printer guarantees sustainability and the highest quality of printing at the lowest cost of ownership.

Kaspar Papir’s transfer papers are capable of taking a very high ink load without compromising drying speed and release. Due to their coating formulation, Kaspar Papir’s papers release on average, 20% more ink than other transfer papers in the market today without sacrificing color performance, vibrancy or density.

Kaspar Papir’s latest addition, sunpaper, is a dye sublimation transfer paper that minimizes the impact of color fading caused by exposure to ultraviolet rays inherent in the environment, whether outdoors in the sun or under indoor artificial lighting.

Without the need to additionally pre/post-treat the transfer process, sunpaper is able to, in one step offer a no-hassle, unparalleled protection against light fastness and reduces visible decolorization without limiting the release performance for deep blacks or vivid colors. This is an efficient solution for applications such outdoor furniture, signage, banners and outdoor sports apparels.

The Mosaica Group will also showcase SWISSJet® branded dye sublimation inks for any platform. These newly-developed inks are manufactured in Switzerland by Swiss Performance Chemicals. The SWISSJet® brand offers high-quality yet cost effective inks with an extremely low consumption and quick transfer rate. A high-color reduction rate enables the most vivid graphics with intense black and pristine detail. SWISSJet® inks provide optimal speeds at photographic quality.
