Press release from the issuing company
PHOENIX -- April 4, 2002 -- Proactive Technologies of Carrollton, Texas earned the Intel/CRN "Best of Show - Enterprise" for it's innovative storage technologies in the digital prepress, printing and publishing industries. The award was given at the Intel Solutions Summit in March at the annual event for Intel Premier Provider partners.
Winners of the award were selected from an elite group of systems manufacturers and integrators by representatives of both Intel and CRN. Proactive Technologies earned top honors for their high-performance Storage Area Networking (SAN) solutions addressing the unique storage requirements of the graphic arts community.
"What the Intel Premier Provider program is doing is kind of taking it to the next level," Paul Otellini, President of Intel said. "We work together to enable that class of customers to deliver a broader portfolio of our products and to sell higher value-added products." The Intel/CRN Best-of-Show awards highlight superior performance by Intel Premier Provider partners.
Since 1997, Proactive Technologies designs and delivers fail-safe servers and storage technology to it's clientele in the printing and publishing industries. Their systems are designed to provide a standards-based digital infrastructure that supports the high-speed transfer of large [image] data objects over gigabit networks and SANs (Storage Area Networks). They manufacture servers and storage systems (as authorized Intel Premier Providers) to meet the unique requirements of digital prepress, printing and publishing environments.
The Proactive Technologies SAN solution gives customers a means of consolidating their storage resources and managing them from a single point, without tying themselves down to any one hardware vendor. The award-winning architecture is totally redundant - removing any and all single points of failure. Most importantly, it is placing new emphasis on the importance of standards-based infrastructures in today's digital printing world.
