Announced on 17 September, by David Luttenberger, Global Packaging Director and Mintel, Duallok received the prestigious Gold award at the 2019 DOW Packaging Awards. 

The Packaging Innovation Awards honour innovations in packaging design, materials, technology and processes across the entire packaging value chain. Originated by DuPont, the tradition of excellence is now continued by DOW, awarding recognition to brands, designers, retailers and suppliers from more than 30 countries around the world.

With nearly 250 submissions from companies across the globe, the independent judging panel awarded this year’s top honours to a finite few including Duallok as Gold winner for their compliant, beautiful and user-friendly child-resistant packaging solution.

Developed by the award-winning agency in London, UK, the Duallok patented double-locking designis the product of two years of R&D, passing certification 16 CFR 1700 guidelines for child-resistant packaging in late 2018. It presentsa beautiful, user friendly and compliant package for high-end controlled substances.The format can be tailored to house a wide range of products from vape cartridges, pre-rolled joints and concentrates, to pharmaceuticals and other healthcare related products.

Recognised amongst some of the world’s leading brands including; Dai Nippon Printing Co. receiving Diamond, and Amcor (Gold), Proctor & Gamble, and Unilever taking home a Silver.
