Press release from the issuing company
Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, today announced the launch in the EMEA region* of the VersaUV LEF2-300 benchtop UV flatbed printer; the latest model in the popular range of LEF2 series benchtop UV printers. The new LEF2-300 boasts the same stunning quality and ultra-realistic graphics of the recently launched LEF2-200, whilst delivering 1.5 times the print area and printing speed for the volume production of profitable, customised products on demand. The new model also offers an exciting range of enhancements that make the LEF2-300 even easier and more efficient to use.
Ideal for promotional print companies, retailers, screen and pad printers, sign shops, commercial printers, product manufacturers, industrial businesses and designers, the LEF2-300 prints onto virtually any surface and a huge variety of off-the-shelf products, transforming them into profitable personalised items. Typical applications vary from customised promotional goods and giftware, souvenirs, stationery, electronics, awards, signs, packaging, industrial items and prototypes.
The LEF2-300’s low-heat UV-LED lamps instantly cure ink on the surface of the media, allowing photos, graphics and fine text to be printed onto a huge range of hard and soft materials including PVC, plastics, canvas, wood, leather, fabric and more, with unmatched print quality. Clear ink produces premium gloss and matt finishes which can be applied in multiple layers for a simulated embossed look and amazingly lifelike textures. The 770 (W) x 330 (D) x 100 (H) mm print area of the LEF2-300, combined with its four printheads and two UV lamps, ensures enhanced productivity.
According to Kohei Tanabe, President of Roland DG's Digital Printing Business Division, the LEF2-300’s advanced new features make printing even easier, faster and more efficient. “A Multiple Print Function for printing the same data again by simply pressing a button on the control panel and a Printer Status Monitor for checking the operating status of multiple printers in real-time promote efficient performance when printing large volumes.”
Kohei continues “As everyone’s lifestyles and preferences become increasingly varied, the demand for making one-of-a-kind items or high-mix, small-batch runs continues to grow. The LEF2 series is designed to meet such demand as it is capable of on-demand printing quickly onto a diverse range of materials. The addition of the LEF2-300 to the series line-up gives even more customers the ability to print amazing graphics and lifelike textures. We aim to develop more products that encourage customer creativity in order to boost business growth.”
Users can expand their profit-making potential even further by combining the new VersaUV LEF2-300 with a Roland LV series laser engraver, which also launches in EMEA today, to create premium value items such as custom giftware, personalised awards, or acrylic displays with attractive graphics.
