Skinny Technologies Comments Further on Halting Copydot Acquisition
Press release from the issuing company
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Skinny Technologies has relinquished its plans to exclusively market its SkinnyScript technology to publishers as had originally been announced through its proposed acquisition of Copydot Prepress Inc.
"It became apparent that a growing number of publishers and others were interested in how SkinnyScript could positively impact both the costs and timelines of their production workflow," said Michael Kelly, EVP Business Development, Skinny Technologies, Inc. "Marketing our technology through a single service bureau such as CopyDot would have placed us in a competitive situation to businesses in one of the primary markets we seek to serve. Consequently, we plan to enter into individual license agreements with users at every station in the production workflow, thusly opening up additional revenue streams and profit potential."
