K/P Corporation Adds Direct Mail to ClickOn Web-based Procurement System

Press release from the issuing company

SEATTLE, Wash.-- April 1, 2002- K/P Corporation recently added direct mail capabilities to ClickOn, the company’s online print procurement system that enables customers to order corporate identity and marketing products using their desktop computer and any Internet connection. Customers can now use ClickOn to order and manage direct mail postcard programs in addition to a full range of business stationery items including business cards, letterhead, envelopes, labels and forms. K/P first introduced ClickOn as a standalone software product to help corporate clients increase the accuracy of frequently printed items and maintain brand integrity, while achieving production efficiencies, reduced costs and shortened turnaround times. Since its evolution to a Web-based product, K/P’s client list for ClickOn has grown by 500 percent--reaching nearly 50 companies this year, including several Fortune 100 firms. K/P customers currently using the direct mail feature of the ClickOn system are corporate clients whose resellers and dealers need direct mail programs that are low cost, but highly customized. “The key feature in our new direct mail capability is its automation,” said Dave Bates, vice president of product development for K/P Corporation. “We’re combining the print and mail files to streamline the process. We then send them directly to our variable imaging facilities to manage the print production, mail merge and postal drop. This way, we’re able to fulfill our promise of efficient ordering and delivery, along with reduced costs on printing and the best postage rates possible,” said Bates. To use the new feature, K/P clients enter data on a ClickOn Web site, selecting the desired quantities, images, offers and other marketing messages from those available, or creating their own messages. Clients then review and edit PDF proofs until they are satisfied with their order. Once complete, they receive an e-mail confirmation with order details and a tracking link. Clients have the option of maintaining control of content and ordering by assigning a designated program administrator who approves all orders. K/P offers a variety of printing options for ClickOn direct mail postcards including one-, two-, or four-color digital imaging. K/P Corporation provides a comprehensive range of fulfillment, mailing and printing services as well as all-inclusive programs. K/P leverages technology to integrate its services and enable digital transactions to flow between the client’s desk, the sales office and the production floor. Originally established as a family-owned printing company in 1929, K/P is now one of the leading fulfillment program management companies of its kind in the U.S. K/P employs more than 600 people at 12 facilities throughout the West and is based in San Ramon, Calif.
