Agfa Experts Featured Speakers at PDF and Digital Proofing Seminars

Ridgefield Park, New Jersey – March 27, 2002 – Workflow experts from Agfa Graphic Systems will be the featured speakers at a PDF and Digital Proofing Seminar series being co-sponsored by the Printing Industry of the Carolinas. The workshops, being held April 8 – April 11 in various locations in North and South Carolina, focus on the issues that plant managers and prepress managers have been asking about PDF and digital proofing. The topics for the seminar include "Distiller vs. Normalizer," "Digital Proofing: Your Options Kept Simple" and "Impact on Production." Deborah Hutcheson, U.S. Marketing Manager, Apogee Workflow and Digital Proofing Systems, Agfa, is one of the presenters. "Agfa believes, and its products reflect, that PDF is a defining technology for the next generation of production workflows," Hutcheson said. "For that reason, Agfa develops and distributes educational tools and programs – as well as products – that revolve around the use of PDF. It is an indispensable tool for the graphic arts," Hutcheson added. "PICA developed the Associate Workshops as a means for the manufacturers and suppliers, who serve the Carolinas' printing industry, to share their expertise with our members," said Richard Spencer, President, PICA.
