Delphax Solutions Inc. Announces Elan HD Upgrade at Prime Data Inc.

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto, Ont. – Delphax Solutions, Inc., (“DSI”), a digital inkjet press designer and manufacturer, today announced it has completed a major upgrade to the new Elan HD platform at the already installed system at Prime Data Inc. located in Aurora, ON, Canada.

Prime Data, an early adopter of the Elan platform, is the first company to field upgrade their existing Elan system to DSI’s new “Elan HD” platform. This new platform provides significant quality and production benefits against not only the previous generation of Elan, but also against other digital production devices.

Richard Lee, CEO of Delphax Solutions Inc., said, “Steve (Falk) and his team at Prime Data were pioneers in selecting the original Elan system for the variable digital printing of direct mail, and this proved to be an excellent platform for their needs. I am extremely pleased to be able to continue our partnership with the upgrade of their press to the Elan HD platform with the benefits that it will bring them”.

Driven by Memjet’s VersaPass technology with true 1600x1375 DPI CMYK printing, sheet sizes from 8”x8” to 18”x26” on a wide range of weights, with throughput of up to 500 letter impressions per minute, the Elan HD is the leading choice for both variable and short run publishing applications. The Elan platform has multi-year production proven reliability, and thanks to its innovative design, the system can be serviced by either DSI Technicians or customers’ own in-house technicians. With the addition of “No Click” pricing models, DSI’s customers have the most cost effective offering of any sheet fed press in this class.

Steve Falk, President, Prime Data, said, “Having used the Elan successfully for three years, we were excited about the new release. Our clients are already benefiting from the higher resolution, increased color range and efficiency”.
