PIA Seeks Speaker Proposals for the 2020 Continuous Improvement Conference

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, Pa. – Printing Industries of America (PIA) is currently seeking speakers for its 2020 Continuous Improvement Conference to be held April 5-8 in Columbus, Ohio. Conference organizers invite printing, packaging, and converting professionals to submit speaking proposals on best practices, strategies, and case studies in implementing and sustaining continuous improvement. Of particular interest are real-world examples of challenges, successes, failures, and lessons learned. Now in its 31st year, the Continuous Improvement Conference will be expanding to include a broader leadership prospective as well.

Speakers hail from a wide variety of backgrounds ranging from top-level executives to operations, production, and process improvement managers. Also welcome are submissions from continuous improvement consultants and professionals from outside the industry if the topics are directly relevant to print manufacturers.

The Continuous Improvement Conference is presented by Printing Industries of America and Specialty Graphics Imaging Association. It is the only annual event focused on helping printing, packaging, and converting companies achieve operational and leadership excellence by using the concepts of Lean manufacturing and other management and quality systems.

A wide range of topics are covered at the conference and fall into one of four categories:

  • Leadership and Culture
  • Process and Tools—Fundamental
  • Process and Tools—Advanced
  • Developing People

The deadline to submit a speaking proposal is August 30, 2019. All topic submissions will be reviewed by the advisory committee. For more information on becoming a speaker at the 2020 Continuous Improvement or to submit a proposal, please visit ci.printing.org/call-for-speakers.
