Flatbed and hybrid UV-LED Anapurnas to demo different approaches to high-quality, highly productive printing

Las Vegas, Nev. – Paper or plastic? Fries or salad? Coffee or tea? We’re faced with thousands of choices every day, every hour. We wouldn’t have it any other way. At Agfa, we feel the same way: choices are great. That’s why our booth (#1734) at ISA’s International Sign Expo® 2019 in Las Vegas later this month will feature printing systems from the Anapurna line that offers dedicated flatbed printing or a hybrid that offers both roll-to-roll and flatbed printing.

At the heart of the Agfa booth are two of Agfa’s most popular and versatile inkjet engines, the Anapurna FB2540i LED and the Anapurna H3200i LED.

The Anapurna FB2540i LED is a high-speed, 8.33-foot (2.54 meters) wide, UV-curable system on a moving gantry flatbed. It’s ideal for both step-and-repeat work and printing multiple jobs on differently-sized media. The multilayer printing feature lets the Anapurna FB2540i LED print several color and white ink layers in a single run.

The Anapurna H3200i LED is perfect for sign shops, digital printers, photo labs and mid-size graphic screen printers that want to combine board and roll-to-roll print jobs. At 10.5 feet (3.2 meters) wide, the Anapurna H3200i LED combines high-quality with high-productivity for outdoor or indoor, rigid or flexible wide-format jobs. White ink expands the possibilities while the dual roll option increases productivity.

“The UV-LEDs on our Anapurna printing systems save energy, costs and time. Thanks to their minimal energy output, LED lamps are ideal for thin, heat-sensitive materials. They also lead to faster operations as they can be switched on and off instantaneously,” said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa, North America. “As a result, users find themselves able to generate extra business, realize cost savings and become more environmentally friendly.”

PSPs can also see and learn about the behind-the-scenes technology that went into Agfa’s contribution to Project Peacock, the educational video series by PrintMediaCentr.com for print customers and PSPs. Project Peacock shows the amazing opportunities and applications possible with print.
