TransWestern Publishing Purchases Seven Telephone Directories

SAN DIEGO--Aug. 15, 2002--TransWestern Publishing has purchased seven telephone directories from West Vista Advertising. The directories are: East Linn, Ore.; Lincoln County, Ore.; Lake Powell, Ariz.; Kanab, Utah; St. George, Utah; Cedar City, Utah; and Great Basin, Nev. TransWestern Publishing's President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Puente commented, "TransWestern Publishing already serves many nearby communities with high quality telephone directories. With the addition of these directories, TransWestern Publishing serves 335 markets in 23 states. Some of our directories have been linking buyers and sellers for more than 70 years." The directories will continue to feature complete white and yellow page listings as well as community information in one easy-to-use phone book. Puente explained, "Consumers and businesses can expect the same great customer service and reliability that they received from West Vista Advertising but now with the backing of the nation's leading independent telephone directory publisher." TransWestern Publishing is a California-based independent yellow page publisher which publishes 335 community-oriented directories in 23 states. In 2001, TransWestern had $242 million in revenues and an EBITDA of $60 million.
