TLMI’s Rosalyn Bandy, Nominated to SGP’s Board of Directors, Will Be Presenting at SGP Community Day

Press release from the issuing company

Milford, Ohio – TLMI announces that Rosalyn Bandy, TLMI’s Director of Environmental Strategies and Outreach, has been nominated to the Board of Directors for the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). Rosalyn will be presenting at the SGP Community Day in Cincinnati, OH on November 14th.

Community Day is SGP’s premier annual conference for thought leaders in the sustainable printing industry. The day-long event brings printers, suppliers and Fortune 500 companies together to advance sustainability across print-associated industries. Through focused roundtable discussions and networking opportunities, the event creates a community of practice that allows participants to connect, learn and build a new future for print.

During her panel discussion, Rosalyn will be providing an overview of the state of film recycling and the work that the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) is doing to promote recycling in this critical packaging space. Rosalyn will discuss the shift in demand from China due to the National Sword Program for post-consumer polyethylene and the impact this has on the ratio of supply and demand.

She comments, “I am thrilled to be participating in this year’s SGP Community Day and to be elected to the SGP Board of Directors. We are reaching a tipping point with film recycling, particularly polyethylene (PE). With the implementation of China’s National Sword Program, retail companies have a tremendous opportunity to affect change through the utilization of recycled content and ensuring that PE film is fully recyclable into the best possible use. This topic is relevant to all printers who print and convert film substrates as well as to brands that utilize PE film. I look forward to engaging the audience on this increasingly important issue. ”
