ATTO to Debut Leading-Edge Storage Connectivity Solutions at Comdex

Press release from the issuing company

AMHERST, N.Y.- ATTO Technology, Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of Fibre Channel and SCSI storage connectivity solutions, announced today that it will be debuting four exciting storage connectivity products at Comdex Fall in Las Vegas, NV, November 13-17, 2000. Products to be debuted include the ATTO FibreBridge(TM) 4500C/R/D Fibre Channel-to-SCSI bridge for mission-critical Enterprise environments, ATTO FibreBridge(TM) 1180E compact Fibre Channel-to-SCSI bridge for easy integration into drive enclosures, ATTO ExpressPCI FC 3300 2-Gigabit Fibre Channel host adapter, and the next-generation ATTO AccelWare SAN Volume Management Software providing more robust administration and security functionality for the professional content creator. ``Being in the midst of a digital explosition of data, this year's Fall Comdex is bound to be a showcase of leading technology products for today's data-rich society,'' said ATTO President and CEO, Timothy Klein. ``ATTO answers the call with superior products engineered to backup, retrieve and share data more quickly, efficiently and reliably for the data-intensive Content Creation and mission-critical Enterprise environments.'' On the Enterprise front, non-existent backup windows and 24x7 availability requirements are solved with the debut of the ATTO FibreBridge 4500C/R/D. This high-performance bridge with three Fibre Channel ports is capable of moving data at 1.5 Terabytes per hour and brings peace-of-mind to the system engineer with Serverless backup and automatic failover functionality. For low-cost Fibre Channel-to-SCSI bridge solutions, OEMs can now look to embed the ATTO FibreBridge 1180E into applications deploying standard SCSI devices such as tape drives and hard disk drives. The form factor and low cost of the 1180E make it an attractive solution for converting SCSI devices to Fibre Channel and for enabling direct connection to Storage Area Networks (SANs). The ATTO ExpressPCI FC 3300 is a 2-Gigabit Fibre Channel host adapter which enables the extraordinary bandwidth demanded by today's data-intensive applications. Its extensive driver support for a wide range of operating systems coupled with 400 MB/sec. full duplex throughput make it an integral component of any SAN. For the Content Creation professional, ATTO will introduce the next-generation ATTO AccelWare SAN volume management software. Providing more robust administration and security functionality, the new ATTO AccelWare is the ideal choice for the content creator looking to install a SAN solution for high-bandwidth applications such as digital video, digital audio, pre-press and imaging. Finally, ATTO is excited to be a part of the FCIA pavilion again at this year's show. The FCIA is an international consortium of companies committed to promoting the proliferation of Fibre Channel-based technology. As part of the FCIA, ATTO will participate in the largest consolidated exhibit of a SAN solution by supplying the ATTO FibreBridge, ATTO FibreCenter(TM) hub and ATTO ExpressPCI Fibre Channel host adapters.
