IIMAK Introduces NET330 Resin TTO Ribbon

Press release from the issuing company

Meets needs of rapidly expanding narrow and wide web flexible packaging demands

Amherst, N.Y. – IIMAK introduced NET330 thermal transfer overprint (TTO) ribbon for printing on-demand information directly on flexible packaging at Labelexpo Americas. This new premium resin ribbon offers heat resistance and strong adhesion to films, assuring imprints remain legible from manufacturing to end use.

NET330 is paired with polyester films used in high performance food packaging and withstands heat sealing, hot fill, oils and other common chemicals. According to Amy Schmitt, Director of Marketing, “We are very pleased to offer a durable product with outstanding value to food manufacturers and packagers. Maintenance managers who want sourcing alternatives can realize savings without sacrificing quality. NET330 drops in to TTO printers with no adjustments. Imprints are crisp and really grip the film, even with hot fill and cold plunge. This makes NET330 ideal for printing small text and barcodes that won’t rub off.”

NET330 TTO ribbons can print expiry dates, lot codes, nutrition information, ingredient lists and other variable information directly on flexible packaging. Imprints endure through fill, form and seal as well as tray lidding processes for products like coffee, meats, sauces, soups, nuts and prepared foods.

NET330 doesn’t smear or rub off in the packaging process and can stand up to oils and water. With extreme heat resistance, NET330 resists re-transfer when sealing at temperatures up to 500° F.

NET330 completes IIMAK’s expansive offering for coding in the packaging market. It joins high speed NETFlex+ TTO ribbon, continuous inkjet inks (CIJ) and Drop on Demand (DoD) inks for primary packaging and case coding.
