IPCO Highlights Its Steel Belts at InPrint Milan 2018

Press release from the issuing company

IPCO, the world’s largest manufacturer of solid and perforated steel belts, will use InPrint 2018 to highlight the benefits that steel belts can bring to digital print lines, including maximum print accuracy and print speeds faster than possible with other belt technologies.

IPCO steel belts are also manufactured to extremely fine tolerances – thickness is measured in microns – and engineered to ensure absolute flatness. Furthermore, unlike plastic and other belt materials, steel belts are extremely stable and will not stretch. This consistency of belt positioning and the distance between print head and print material ensures maximum print accuracy.

Depending on the requirements of the system, belts can be supplied solid or perforated, the latter enabling the use of a vacuum system to eliminate any risk of the print material moving on the belt. These and other features enable prints speeds faster than is possible with other belt technologies.

Cherryleen Garcia-Lindgren is Global Product Manager for this market. “This is a relatively new application for our steel belts but one for which they are exceptionally well suited. Stability, accuracy, easy cleaning and durability are all key here and we look forward to exploring the possibilities that exist across the commercial printing sector.”
