PrintArt Dramatically Increases Pressroom Efficiency with the Komori Lithrone G40 with LED Curing

Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, Ill. – Komori America announced that PrintArt, with operations in McKinney, Texas and Greenville, Tennessee, has installed a new six-color Lithrone G40 (GL640C) with LED curing technology. PrintArt is a full-service print provider specializing in merchandising and packaging displays for the building products industry. The GL640C with LED, Conventional UV and IR curing offers the company the advanced technology required to produce stunning, dense color on a wide variety of substrates, making it possible to deliver time-intensive packaging and point of purchase products (POP) to customers. With the GL640, PrintArt not only has expanded its value-added printing capabilities, it has also increased overall productivity.

“We reviewed other manufacturers during our selection process but found that what Komori is doing in terms of technology was a deciding factor for us. Not only does this press have the innovative technology we wanted, Komori’s approach to continued advancement gives us great confidence that this is a company in it for the long haul,” said Chris Alguire, president, PrintArt. “Our new Komori press replaces a competitive press in operation on our floor. Since installing the GL640C, the process improvements we are experiencing are nothing short of amazing. We have reduced our makeready paper waste by 50 percent and we are getting up to color 50 percent faster. We are very happy with what the GL640C is doing for us and for our customers.”

Komori’s revolutionary KHS-AI intelligent software with self-learning supports PrintArt’s ability to provide the color consistency critical for the merchandising and packaging materials the company produces. Alguire also points out that with LED curing, PrintArt can print, finish and deliver the final product to customers in a much faster timeframe. With the new GL640, the company can now deliver high quality consistent packaging and POP products in record time – a win-win for its customers.

“We are thrilled to be a partner with PrintArt as the company advances its capabilities with new press and curing technology. We are even happier that the GL640C allows PrintArt to exceed the expectations of its customers while at the same time driving greater production efficiencies and profits,” said Mark Milbourn, vice president of sales, Komori America.
