New color management and profiling workshops added to ONYX Certified training

Salt Lake City, Utah – Onyx Graphics, Inc., today announced the formal launch of two new color management and profiling workshops to its portfolio of training and certification offerings. Following the success of the ONYX 12.2 workshops, these ONYX 18 workshops now incorporate the new ONYX Color Engine, ColorCheck, AccuBoost, and PosterColor 2.0 functionalities as well as iccMAX compatibility of the company’s award-winning ONYX 18 software. The one- and two-day programs – offered at both introductory and expert levels – focus on real business scenarios to help attendees understand the importance of color management in wide format workflow and apply that knowledge to produce superior color output that can be validated to their customers.

The Fundamentals of Color Management and Profiling workshop is an introductory program designed to help ONYX operators gain more control over their color output. Attendees will also be introduced to PosterColor 2.0 for smart saturation and ColorCheck, a process control toolset to meet customer brand color needs, maintain consistency over time, and match standards such as G7 and Fogra.

The ONYX Certified Advanced Color Management and Profiling workshop is offered to experienced ONYX operators, print production technicians, and color specialists; and includes hands-on application of color standards and advanced profiling techniques to take their knowledge to the next level. Attendees will learn how to apply the power of ColorCheck to validate color output and set internal process control measures to verify color consistency before printing, saving ink and media costs. Attendees will also learn how to apply AccuBoost iterative ICC profiling techniques to fine tune profiles, ensuring the highest levels of color accuracy.
