Press release from the issuing company

Idealiance China/Aptec hosts four-day training event in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong, to certify new G7 Experts from across Asia.

Alexandria, Va. – During four days at the Pro-Act Training and Development Centre in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong, Idealliance China conducted G7 Expert Training for all print applications with simultaneous interpretation in English, Putonghua and Cantonese to serve the global G7 community. Idealliance is a global thought leader in the graphic communications industry and a non-profit organization with 11 strategically located offices around the world.

“Idealliance China continues to lead not only in China and Hong Kong, but also throughout Asia, with G7 Experts from Thailand, Taiwan, and Singapore as well participating in this event,” says Jordan Gorski, Idealliance Director of Certification Programs. “These G7 Experts are leaders in the field of color management, process control, print production and G7 methodology to drive the global print and packaging supply chain including some of the world's largest OEMs and print suppliers.”

Led by Ron Ellis, G7 Expert Trainer and Chair of Idealliance’s Print Properties & Colorimetric (PPC) Council, participants took part in an intensive, hands-on training session featuring live practical training utilizing G7 in both prepress and press environments, including calibration for proofing and print production, color management, quality and process control with the G7 methodology. Trainees then demonstrated their expertise by completing the required examination in color theory, the G7 methodology, and print optimization. As G7 Experts, these individuals are certified by Idealliance as proven leaders in print production and global standards to align all proof and print applications regardless of process, ink, or substrate.

G7 Experts are committed to reducing costs, speeding product to market, and improving and maintaining their client’s brand image and print production requirements. Idealliance is recognized by ISO as the largest certifying body in the graphic and visual communications industry. G7 Certification is the most recognized international specification for color management, and not only achieves consistent color reproduction across any print medium or substrate, but also provides a tremendous savings to an operation’s bottom line.

Utilizing G7 within a print production workflow improves output consistency across multiple print services, platforms and distribution outlets. Upcoming G7 training sessions in North America will be held at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, June 12-14, and at Clemson University (flexography-based training) in Clemson, S.C., August 7-9. There are also extensive classes being held at various locations overseas including Idealliance Korea G7 Training in Seoul, South Korea, June 11-15.
