GMG to Demonstrate Color Management Solutions for Designers at HOW Design Live 2018

Press release from the issuing company

At booth 613, GMG color management tools assure that initial color intent is what is ultimately reproduced.

Hingham, Mass. – GMG (www.gmgcolor.com), the leading developer and supplier of high-end color management software solutions, announces it will be demonstrating its color solutions to the creative community, once again, in booth 613 during HOW Design Live 2018, April 30 to May 3, in Boston.

“Creative minds and brand owners both love color. To assess layouts in detail, designers and customers must know exactly what’s going to be printed later,” comments Joe Varone, GMG Americas President. “GMG has been around designers for years, providing workflows that assure the most color and consistency out of an original file as it is repurposed, proofing systems that have been known for their accuracy, and collaboration/approval systems tie designers, brands and printers together.”

Proofing for agencies – simple, reliable and economical.
To accurately assess layouts, designers and brand owners must have an idea of exactly what's going to be printed later with uncompromising color accuracy. For years, GMG ColorProof has been the preferred solution for efficient and safe contract proofing with uncompromising color fidelity. GMG ColorProof produces online proofs without the need for couriers or last-minute modifications. With remote proofing, GMG ColorProof delivers the process guarantee for international production. It is compliant with globally accepted printing standards, and its reliability and remarkable performance has made it an indispensable tool among leading color management experts.

GMG CoZone: The ultimate content approval solution.
GMG CoZone is a cloud-based approval solution for agencies, designers, marketing departments, and everyone else involved in media production. All project stakeholders can easily review the original design in a softproof view and annotate layout, content and colors. Different versions can be reviewed side-by-side or even on top of each other, as on a light table. Thanks to its ultra high resolution, users can now also review, in detail, large-format design projects. The standard maximum image resolution is 7,000 pixels, but can go even finer: If users need to delve deep into greater detail, they can display image data at an ultra-high 15,000-pixel resolution. Once content is approved, and a hard proof is required, CoZone can send the data to a connected GMG ColorProof system. Thus, CoZone bundles all approval and proofing processes within a single platform, offering seamless remote proofing that completes the correction and approval process with legally binding contract proofs.

From image to proof to press: GMG ColorMaster is the ultimate RGB workflow.
Whether packaging, wide format, or traditional advertising—in fact, wherever color is used— identical color is crucial: consistency is the cornerstone of corporate communications. Unfortunately, when image data and artwork are handled separately, problems are inevitable. It's an inefficient way to work, too.

GMG ColorMaster eliminates those problems and makes sure unsightly variations—due to the different separation criteria being used for identical colors—no longer occur. Genuine media-neutral consistency can start in the photo studio and remain in the same color space until the final print data is created. GMG ColorMaster converts print data at the last possible moment, from its RGB color space, into the respective targeted color space, including all color spaces from the classic printing processes—no exceptions. Print results can be simulated before the actual printing process begins: only at the end of the workflow will the data be converted into a single CMYK separation. Thus, GMG ColorMaster can guarantee uncompromising quality.

“The designer’s primary production concern is often that both the intent of color, and consistency, are maintained,” concludes Varone. “The tools GMG will demonstrate at HOW Design Live will assure that color management is effortless for them.”
