Creoscitex Introduces PDF Seps2Comp 1.5

Press release from the issuing company

BEDFORD, MA CreoScitex, a division of Creo Products Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO; TSE: CRE), is pleased to introduce PDF Seps2Comp 1.5, the new version of a powerful Acrobat(r) utility that enables prepress professionals to transform their color-separated PDF files into composite documents. PDF Seps2Comp 1.5 plug-in for Adobe Acrobat transforms a color-separated PDF file output from page layout applications such as Adobe PageMaker(r) and QuarkXPress(r), into a composite, live document that can be later edited and manipulated in the same manner as any other PDF file. This utility provides the last link in a truly composite workflow by converting pre-separated files back into full color documents. New Product Features... Included in Version 1.5 is a preview for the inspection of overprints prior to merging the pre-separated files into a composite document. The utility also loads and saves custom inks, offers full access to the PANTONE(r) color libraries, and allows users to maintain PostScript Level 2 compatibility by either converting spot colors to process, or leaving them as separate objects. PDF Seps2Comp 1.5 is also available with the S2C Plateview option. This features the powerful separation viewer plug-in component from Prinergy(tm) 2.0 from CreoScitex. Plateview is used to examine the merged composite file, ensuring file integrity and providing for a complete workflow for merging separated files into composite documents.
