DG3 Delivers Improved Speed and Quality with Installation of State-of-the-Art Heidelberg XL 106

Press release from the issuing company

Jersey City, New Jersey - Diversified Global Graphics Group (DG3), a leading provider of global print, technology, and visual communication services, today announced the acquisition and installation of a state-of-the-art Heidelberg Speedmaster XL106 eight color sheet fed press, at its North American operations. The press will be operational by the end of the month.

The Heidelberg XL106 brings significantly improved speed and quality to DG3’s clients. The press has eight color units and the ability to print four colors perfecting in-line and features LED coating systems for aqueous, varnish and UV. It delivers 18,000 impressions per hour and boasts make-ready times that are at least 50% faster than other presses as a result of Heidelberg’s Intellistart technology for automated press make ready. In addition, the press prints a far wider range of substrates from 27lb lightweight paper to 32 point board on a larger printable sheet size of 29.5” X 41.75”.

The Heidelberg purchase is consistent with DG3’s strategy to invest in equipment that improves speed and efficiency of the press room while delivering the best quality output.

“We work hard to develop the correct capital investment strategy at DG3 and spend considerable time evaluating a number of factors in these decisions,” commented Pat Caragliano, DG3’s Senior Vice President of North American Operations. He continued to say, “The changing needs of DG3’s clients as it relates to the speed of turnaround and changing run lengths of projects make this a wise investment for DG3.”
